The Chair of the Authority provided a verbal update to Members.

He advised that he had attended the All Party Parliamentary Group meeting in his capacity as Chair of National Parks England.  The meeting was also attended by several MPs and members of the House of Lords, and by Trudy Harrison, the National Park  Minister who indicated that the government will be setting out its actions arising from the landscape review.  It was also confirmed that amendments to the Levelling Up Bill should give strengthened powers to National Park Authorities via Management Plans and statutory purposes.
