The Director of Conservation & Planning presented the annual report, and confirmed that although the percentage of appeals lost over 2017/18 was higher than previous years, there were no underlying concerns and no major challenges to policy when each case was considered on its merits.  Every decision is assessed when it is received. . This was raised with Members at the time and any lessons learned were discussed.
