I do not support the proposed recommendation for refusal and instead support this application.

Given the climate emergency, the environmental impact of replacing the window with double glazing could only be positive. I do not believe that the replacement of the existing windows, which are in poor condition, would cause harm to the significance of the listed building, in my opinion, it would be an enhancement to the front elevation, as the proposed designs are in-keeping with the building’s historical character and will be in-keeping with the other windows that are being replaced.

I believe refusing this application is counter intuitive, surely we should be supporting projects that will have a positive impact on the environment and the overall look of the building, and perhaps there is also an opportunity for the school to teach the children about climate change and why the windows have been replaced...
