I was a member of Bamford Parish Council for 6 years an through this became aware of the role of the PDNPA in respect of general planning issues, business and tourism.  I have lived in the Park for 10 years and worked in it for the last 5 years.  I have campaigned in respect of climate change and biodiversity issues through my membership of the Green Party.

I believe that the climate and biodiversity crises are the biggest and most important issues facing the world and it is imperative on all to work hard to mitigate and lessen the severity of both.  It is even more essential that Government bodies lead the way in this and so I believe the PDNPA must play a part.  The upland moors are massive carbon stores and must be preserved and enhanced.  The PDNPA can also do much in terms of the biodiversity crisis by encouraging better land use and protection of flora and fauna trying to return wildlife to sustainable levels that would benefit all.  The PDNPA also needs to consider innovative ways of tackling road congestion within the Park and parking issues within villages, such work will also go to mitigating climate issues.
