National Park Authority

Purpose of committee

All Authority Members are invited to attend all Authority meetings.  These meetings take place approximately 7 times per year and are usually held on Fridays at 10am.  Agendas and reports are published 5 working days in advance of the meeting.  Meetings can last for 2 – 3 hours and occasionally are longer or shorter depending on the business on the agenda. These are always in person meetings at Aldern House, Bakewell but occasionally may take place at other venues if required.

 

The Chair and Deputy Chair of the Authority are appointed at the annual Authority meeting each year.  The annual meeting also makes appointments to the Planning Committee and the Programmes and Resources Committee, together with the appointments to other Committees, Sub Committees, Working Groups and Panels and outside bodies.
